Michael J. FitzSimons

Mr. FitzSimons is Managing Director and Director of Alternative Investments Advisory at Bessemer Trust. In this role, he is responsible for developing policies on asset allocation, customized portfolio strategies, and implementation. He also oversees development of specialized alternative investment solutions for clients and conducts manager research across the alternative investment spectrum. He is a member of the firm’s External Manager Solutions Investment Committee, Private Equity Investment Committee, and Real Assets Investment Committee.

Prior to joining Bessemer in 2014, Mike was Director of Research at Pan Reliance Capital Advisors, responsible for the firm’s hedge fund manager research, selection, and monitoring process. He also served as a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. Before that, he was a senior analyst at Insana Capital Partners and an analyst at Fitch Ratings.

He is a member of the Economic Club of New York.

Mike earned an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School and a B.S. in finance from Georgetown University
