Max Gelfer

Mr. Gelfer is Chief Technology Officer at Bessemer Trust. In this role, he is responsible for all aspects of technology within Bessemer. He serves as Chair of the firm’s Corporate Technology Committee and is a member of the Management Committee, Innovation Council, and Digital Technology Committee.

Prior to joining Bessemer, Max was North America CIO at Chubb. Before that, he was Managing Director at Goldman Sachs and held senior technology leadership roles in the Private Equity (Merchant Banking), Asset Management, and Private Wealth Management divisions. Earlier, Max managed technology teams at Standard & Poor’s and Dreyfus.

He has served on advisory boards for Unqork and Duck Creek Technologies.

Max earned an M.B.A. in finance from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College and a B.S. in computer science from the Minsk Radio Engineering Institute.
