Joan West

Ms. West is Principal, Director of Client Account Administration, and Senior Client Advisor at Bessemer Trust. In this role, she leads a team responsible for providing clients with proactive, highly personalized advice across Investment Management, Wealth Planning, and Family Office Services.

Prior to joining Bessemer in 2013, Joan was Senior Vice President and Chief Portfolio Manager at Whittier Trust, responsible for fixed income investment policy, and co-managed the Large Cap Core Equity strategy. She was also a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. Before that, she worked at Seidner & Company as Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer. Previously, she was Senior Portfolio Manager in the Los Angeles office of Scudder, Stevens & Clark.

Joan earned an M.A. and a B.A., magna cum laude, in international relations from the University of Southern California.
