Regional Director and Senior Fiduciary Counsel
Mr. Kern is Managing Director, Regional Director, and Senior Fiduciary Counsel at Bessemer Trust. In this role, he is responsible for Bessemer’s client relationships in Delaware, as well as the management of our Delaware office. In addition, he works with clients and their advisors to develop practical and efficient wealth transfer plans involving Delaware law, and for guiding the firm on fiduciary issues.
Prior to joining Bessemer, George served as Fiduciary Manager with J.P. Morgan Trust Company of Delaware. Before that, he was a practicing estates and trusts attorney in Pennsylvania and Delaware.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Trust & Estate Counsel (ACTEC) and a member of the Delaware Bar Association, where he serves on its Trust Act Drafting Committee and previously served as Chair of its Estates and Trust Section. George also serves on the Delaware Bankers Association Board of Directors and is a member of the Delaware Estate Planning Council and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
George earned a J.D. from the Delaware Law School of Widener University, an LL.M. in taxation from Villanova University School of Law, and a B.A. in international relations from Ursinus College.
