Emily A. Belfer

Ms. Belfer is Senior Vice President and Fiduciary Counsel at Bessemer Trust. In this role, she is responsible for working with clients and their advisors to develop practical and efficient wealth transfer plans, and for guiding the firm on fiduciary issues.

Prior to joining Bessemer, Emily was a trusts and estates attorney at Day Pitney LLP, practicing in its Individual Clients department. Before that, she worked at Northern Trust and at a single-family office.

She is a member of the New York State Bar Association, New York County Lawyers Association, and American Bar Association.

Emily earned a J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, an M.A. in medieval history from the Bernard Revel Graduate School of Jewish Studies, and a B.A., magna cum laude, in European history from the University of Pennsylvania.
