Amy H. Schnitzer

Principal and Fiduciary Counsel

Ms. Schnitzer is Principal and Fiduciary Counsel at Bessemer Trust. In this role, she is responsible for working with clients and their advisors to develop practical and efficient wealth transfer plans, and for guiding the firm on fiduciary issues.

Prior to joining Bessemer, Amy was an attorney at Goulston & Storrs PC, first practicing in its Real Estate department before moving to the Private Client and Trust department. Before attending law school, she worked in the Public Service department at WilmerHale, coordinating its pro bono, venture philanthropy, and community service programs.

She serves on the Trusts and Estates Section Steering Committee for the Boston Bar Association and is a member of the Boston Estate Planning Council and the Greater Boston Fiduciary Law American Inn of Court.

Amy earned a J.D. from Cornell Law School and a B.A. in history and Latin American literature from Dartmouth College. She lives with her husband and three daughters in Weston, MA.
