Peter J. Langas

Mr. Langas is Managing Director and Head of Investment Technology Strategy at Bessemer Trust. In this role, he provides strategic oversight of technology initiatives that enhance investment research, portfolio construction, and implementation. He is a member of the firm’s Management Committee and Investment Policy and Strategy Committee. Previously, he served as Chief Portfolio Strategist and Chair of the Investment Risk Committee.

Prior to joining Bessemer, Peter was a senior portfolio manager at Bernstein Global Wealth Management, where he was a member of the firm’s Private Client Investment Policy Group. Before that, he was a portfolio manager with The Chicago Trust Company, Vestor Capital, and Morgan Stanley.

He is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago and the Board of Trustees of the Adler Planetarium. He has guest lectured at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and the Yale School of Management.

Peter earned an M.B.A. in finance from the University of Chicago and a B.S. in engineering from Cornell University. He is a CFA® charterholder.
